i went on the job interview on Tuesday for the family violence shelter...and it seemed like it went really well. it may have the potential to turn into a counseling position for me, seeing as how they just opened a brand new outreach center and were going to be hiring therapists for that. so once they took a look at my resume they decided to do a combined interview for 2 positions. i haven't heard anything yet but that one seemed like it might turn into something.
this weekend i was on craigslist looking at jobs again, when i noticed that an organization i've been eyeing for a while is hiring...for a THERAPIST position!! yey!! i volunteered with this organization this summer so hopefully that might get me some name recognition and help me along a little. so i got the materials for that application sent in last night. that would be really awesome, it's a smaller staff and a really cute building. so...prayers please!!! :o)
last weekend i ran my 2nd 5k of the summer with my Supergirl. she did great and i was extremely proud of her!! i have pics of that as well as pics from John's softball tournament from yesterday. they went 4-1 and didn't make it to the championship game. but he had a great time which is all that matters!! they're already talking about fall league.
so...other than the job situation we're staying active. we have been trying out a church in town...but we're going to keep trying other churches until we feel the community aspect that we're looking for. we've been to this one 3 times now and i'm still not feeling it. i'm thinking maybe a smaller more intimate setting would be nice. anyway, we are on the hunt for the Lord!!
i'll keep everyone posted on the job front...i'm hoping something happens SOON!!!! :o)
